We collect the information you provide directly, including account details (name, email, password hash), uploaded essays, and grading results generated by the platform.

How we use your data

We use uploaded essay content to generate rubric-aligned feedback, display your analysis history, and improve reliability of grading workflows. We do not sell your personal data.

Storage and retention

User and essay data are stored in local JSON files in this deployment. Guest uploads are limited and may be removed after the guest session lifecycle. Registered users can request deletion of their account data by contacting support.

AI processing

Essay content is sent to the configured AI provider for grading and feedback generation. By uploading essays, you consent to this processing for educational feedback purposes.

Security

We use basic safeguards such as session controls, CSRF protection, and output escaping. No system is perfectly secure, so avoid uploading sensitive personal identifiers in essays.
